Collaborative Assessment Intensive
An in-depth blend of therapy and psychological assessment — created to help you explore and understand yourself more fully.
You think deeply. You ask big questions. But therapy hasn’t always felt like the answer.
Maybe you’ve tried therapy before but found it too open-ended, too slow, or too focused on feelings without offering enough clarity. Or maybe you’ve never tried it at all, because the idea of just talking about your problems week after week didn’t appeal to you.
You're not resistant to self-exploration. In fact, you think about things a lot. You’re self-aware. Analytical. Growth-oriented. Maybe even a little too smart for your own good — always thinking a few steps ahead, always picking things apart.
And yet, something’s still stuck. A pattern. A block. A part of yourself you can’t quite make sense of.
You might just need a different approach.
Many high-functioning, thoughtful people feel frustrated by traditional therapy models. They want insight, but also structure. They want reflection, but also resolution. They don’t want to just process things. They want to understand them. And they want someone who can help them get to the heart of it in a way that feels focused, efficient, and meaningful.
Self-exploration grounded in science and reflection.
The Collaborative Assessment Intensive is a short-term, high-impact experience that blends psychological testing with the kind of depth and reflection many people hope to find in therapy.
It’s not therapy, exactly — but it offers many of the same benefits, with more structure and a clearer sense of direction. If talk therapy has ever felt too open-ended or not quite enough, this process might be a better fit.
Using thoughtful, research-backed assessments, we’ll work together to explore the questions you’ve been carrying. We’ll look at how your life experiences, personality patterns, relationship dynamics, and blind spots may be contributing to the places you feel stuck.
If this were something you could have figured out on your own, you probably would have by now. This process isn’t about trying harder — it’s about seeing more clearly. With the right tools, we can begin to understand what’s really going on and what might help you move forward.
What to Expect
1) Start with your questions
We begin by identifying what you most want to understand about yourself.
2) Longer sessions, deeper work
Each session lasts two hours to give us the space to do meaningful work without feeling rushed.
3) Tailored assessments
Based on your goals, we choose psychological tools that explore both what you already know about yourself and what may be harder to see.
4) Learning happens along the way
Each session brings new insights and ways of understanding yourself.
5) Personalized letter
You’ll receive a clear summary that answers your questions and outlines meaningful next steps.
6) Follow-up session
About two months later, we’ll reconnect to reflect, integrate, and decide what’s next.
You might be a good fit for this process if:
Therapy hasn’t felt like a good match, or never quite worked for you
You want to understand yourself more clearly, but don’t want to spend years in therapy to get there
You tend to overthink, intellectualize, or second-guess your own experience
You’re looking for a guided process that feels collaborative, focused, and personal
You’re high-functioning but still feel like something’s not working, and you’re ready to explore that more deeply
You know there’s a lot to unpack about your past — and you finally have the time and energy to make sense of it all

Fees & Details
Investment: $5,400
This includes all sessions, psychological testing, interpretation, a personalized written summary, and our follow-up session.
These assessments are resource-intensive on my end as well. For every hour we spend together, I’m also working behind the scenes — scoring assessments, reviewing data, integrating findings, and preparing your personalized summary.
I also frequently consult with trusted colleagues to bring multiple perspectives into the process. This helps ensure that you're receiving the highest quality of care and insight, informed by both science and shared clinical wisdom. This time is built into the cost of the intensive.
Payment: 50% of the fee is due at the first session, and the remaining 50% is due at the feedback session.
Insurance:
I am out-of-network with all insurance companies, which means you pay me directly for services. Depending on your out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.
FAQs
-
We meet weekly or every other week, depending on your schedule and preference. The assessment includes six sessions total, each lasting two hours, plus a follow-up session about two months later.
-
Many clients come in wanting to understand relationship patterns that keep showing up — like why they pull away, shut down, or repeat the same roles over and over. Others are navigating big life transitions like divorce, parenting, retirement, or starting over, and want help making sense of where they’ve been and what’s next. Whether you're feeling stuck or just curious, this process is designed to help you approach old questions in a new way.
-
That depends on what we learn. Some clients feel clear and ready to move forward on their own. Others choose to continue with therapy, coaching, or additional support. I can help you identify next steps, offer resources, and refer you to trusted providers if needed.
-
Possibly. I only take on therapy clients when it feels like a good mutual fit based on what we’ve learned about you in the assessment. If ongoing work with me isn’t the best option based on your needs, I’ll refer you to trusted colleagues. Either way, you’ll leave with clarity about what you’re working on and what kind of support you may need.
-
No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis or clearly defined problem. Many clients come in with a vague sense that something isn’t working, and this process helps them understand why.
-
Yes. This process can complement therapy you’re already doing. Many clients (and their therapists) find it helpful to gain additional insight and direction. I'm also happy to coordinate with your provider, if you'd like.
-
Only if it’s relevant to your goals. While formal diagnoses can be included, the focus is on understanding your patterns, needs, and blocks — whether or not they fall into a diagnostic category.
-
Absolutely. Many of my clients are self-aware and have done meaningful work but still feel stuck. This process is designed to uncover the “why” behind those stuck points and offer new ways forward.
